Natural Remedies: Hyperpigmentation

Hyperpigmentation is a problem that is common among black people & other people of color. It often occurs when an excess of melanin has been produced and forms deposits, causing skin patches that appear darker than the surrounding skin. Common cause of hyperpigmentation are: sun exposure, hormonal changes, heredity, acne, & botched skin treatments. Don't waste money on harmful & risky bleaching creams that can potentially make the problem worse! You can reduce the appearance of darkspots just by using lemon juice, honey, apple cider vinegar and water to create an all natural face mask &  skin lightening toner.

Lemon-Honey Mask recipe

Prepare 4 tablespoons of lemon juice and 4 tablespoons honey until it turns out into a thick, paste-like consistency. Apply the mixture to the affected region with your fingertips until your skin had been coated with a thick layer. Let it the mask stay on your face for about 10 minutes before rinsing it with cool water. Then gently pat dry with a clean towel. Do this once a day for three weeks and I'm sure you'll notice improvements in your skintone!

Apple Cider Vinegar Skin Lightening Toner recipe

Prepare 3 tbsp. apple cider vinegar and 3 tbsp. water.  Then dab a clean cotton balls into mixture & apply to the affected area until the skin is throroughly covered. Let it sit for 20 minutes then rinse. Be sure to gently pat skin dry with a clean towel. Most people see results if this is done two times a day for a duration of three weeks.

[Optional- Apply a thin layer of moisturizer to prevent dryness.

Also try to watch what kinds of food your eat & try to increase your water intake. Water does wonders for skin. Hope this helps!!
